No problem with citation for failing to obey official sign

County of Sheboygan v. Lee F. Kleinhans, 2016AP836, 10/26/16, District 2 (one-judge decision; ineligible for publication); case activity (including respondent’s brief)

Lee Kleinhans appeals, pro se, from his bench trial conviction for failing to obey an official traffic sign contrary to Wis. Stat. § 346.04(2). Things never really get off the ground.

The court first notes that Kleinhans “fails to develop an argument as to how the circuit court erred.” (¶4). Though Kleinhans asserts that the court “made a decision without proper understanding of the MUTDC manual page and paragraph,” per the court he fails to develop any further argument and, in any case, never raised any MUTDC-related issue in the circuit court. (Id.). Noting that the evidence supports the circuit court’s finding that the elements of the offense were met, the court of appeals affirms. (¶5).
