The Marshall Project just published an interesting new article. The U.S. is the only country that sends children to prison with no chance of getting out, and 80% of them are people of color. Due to the pandemic, some governors and parole boards are releasing prisoners convicted of low level crimes, but juvenile lifers have been overlooked. Recent SCOTUS decisions appeared to give them a second chance, but now they fear Covid-19 will kill them first. Read the article here.
